Ireland native Paul “Irish” Murphy may have opened the doors of Murphy's Irish Pub on Hilton Head Island in the summer of 2005, but he brought years of experience to his new business venture ... including some of his mother's favorite recipes! Paul grew up working in his family's pub in New Ros near Waterford, and this life long experience, combined with a dedication to provide his customers with authentic, high-quality food and drink in a lively and fun atmosphere that has made Murphy's Irish Pub one of the Island's most popular drinking and dining establishments with locals and vistors alike.

Prior to opening Murphy's Irish Pub, Paul spent more than twenty years honing his food and beverage skills, first on cruise ships, where he met his British wife, Lisa (owner of The Sanctuary Day Spa in Park Plaza), and then at the Country Club of Hilton Head. Paul and Lisa are the proud parents of two children, who love to play soccer, and dine on Dad's authentic Fish & Chips and Bangers and Mash!
